One of our catalogers wanted to classify a work on a particular French dialect spoken in Brittany.  She went to Class Web and saw the following:
(PC2781-3708)   By region, province, etc.
Because this range is in parentheses, she ignored it and chose a general number.  But expanding this range shows that only some of the numbers are in parentheses.  PC2921-3171, Special French dialects, are not.
Is this the way it is supposed to work?  If so, it's misleading.
