[Classweb-users] Table PZ40 for Class P

Table P-PZ40 formerly provided the span .xZ46-.XZ479 for Autoboiography, journals, and memoirs, with subarrangement by title.  In 2005, the table was simplified and the span was eliminated in favor of the single Cutter number .xZ46, with subarrangement by date.  This change was published in Library of Congress Classification Weekly List 36, 2005.  See http://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/wlc05/awlc0536.pdf.  The item that you cite was cataloged and shelflisted before this simplification of the table was implemented.

Book in hand: Traveling mercies / Anne Lamott.  It is autobiographical.  It
has been classed in PS3562.A4645.Z47 1999

 

According to the table there is no .Z47.  There is, however, a .Z46 for
autobiography.  Is there an error in Classweb or in the classification of
the item?
