[Classweb-users] NK1443, NK2043 and others

Under these two class numbers (and others throughout NK) for Great Britain--England, is there supposed to be a 1st cutter of A1 for general works as there is for Scotland, Ireland, and Wales? I see numbers assigned both with and without the A1, and would like to know which is correct. Thanks very much.
